This spring, the MS Society is advocating for MS clinics in Ontario through a petition campaign (April 25 – June 1).
The MS clinics are facing a difficult funding situation and the MS Society strongly believes it is the role of the government and government-funded healthcare institutions to ensure the delivery of health care services to the over 20,000 Ontarians that live with MS.
We recognize the great work being done at the MS clinics and understand the importance of the clinic network to people living with MS in Ontario. The purpose of our petition is to convince the government to assume the full role of funding the operating costs of the clinics.
The MS Society greatly values the MS clinic network and our relationships with its practitioners, who provide essential care and expertise to people living with MS. Working together, we hope to create a solution and drive the change that is necessary to ensure the healthcare needs of people living with MS are met across Ontario. Our goal is to get 5000 signatures, so please help us spread the word. The petition will be available to sign at Mandarin MS walks throughout the province or you can sign it here:http://mssociety.ca/ontario/socact_petition.htm
